Web Development Process

OVIA aligns its Web Development process with the client’s business goals in order to create successful, interactive, web-based projects, marketing strategies and branding.

We know that web-based, interactive projects can be complex and composed of a variety of elements. But projects will become successful when we work closely with our clients to gain a complete understanding of their goals and objectives and by following a disciplined process to achieve these goals. Together we achieve success through four basic steps:

Discover

Finally, it is time for project delivery. In an effort to ensure our clients’ needs are met, OVIA puts considerable focus into research and understanding the objectives and goals of the client: connection is everything. We believe this is achieved through clear, accurate and meaningful discussion. During initial presentation, our staff presents a discovery document that we expect both companies to invest in mutually. This approach is critical to our ability to complete all aspects of a project, including: deadlines, marketing and advertising strategies, creative and technical briefings, design and development. Aligning organizational values and exploring compelling and innovative methods of articulation come from explosive communication. The discovery phase of the project will last 1-2 weeks.

Design

Once the discovery process is complete, the information is gathered and becomes the guidance for the creative phase. Our artists spend time with content identification and development while working to meet deadlines. The right solution for each client needs can take on many, discrete forms. It might include print design, interactive design, branding, search engine optimization and viral marketing. This design process gives the client an opportunity to visualize the idea and feel comfortable with the direction of the project before any developmental work begin. The design phase will last 3-4 weeks unless otherwise noted in the project schedule.

Develop

Upon completion of the design phase, and when a clear consensus has been achieved,OVIA ‘s web development begins. The development phase is the actual building of the design or application in a manner that is both loyal and honorable to our clients. Our developers utilize advanced technical expertise to develop the interactive project as efficiently and effectively as possible while working to meet deadlines. During this phase, the project goes through a cycle that includes production, engineering, Alpha testing, Beta testing, etc. Throughout this process, OVIA applies a rigorous quality assurance methodology to ensure the integrity of all development work. Development will take 4-8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the web project.

Deploy

Finally, it is time for project delivery – an exciting time for our clients. Our web development process has come to completion, content is frozen and the staging for our clients has been prepared to maximum potential and ready to be deployed. A meeting is scheduled to assure the satisfaction of the client, and needs have been met. More quality assurance is performed, all documentation is completed and reviewed, a pre-flight check is done and the product is launched upon deadline. After delivery and in order to track project success and client return-on-investment, OVIA uses best-practice analytics tracking programs and techniques. To ensure continued success, OVIA and its clients continue with periodic deep engagement as needed and agreed upon in new terms. OVIA is driven to ensure that everything is delivered as requested, on time, within budget; and, above all, that our clients are pleased. The deployment phase will be one week.
